About
Designed to help business ownersAbout
The Southern Business Mentoring Program is an initiative developed and implemented by the Cities of Marion, Holdfast Bay and Onkaparinga. It comes in response to an increasingly difficult economic environment and has supported local businesses with brainstorming ideas, streamlining employment changes, transitioning to digital retail platforms and marketing solutions.
The Southern Business Mentoring Program acknowledges the land on which we work is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.
We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the traditional custodians of the Adelaide plains and recognise their continuous relationship to the land and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Ngarrindjeri has native title in the South of Yankalilla.
Our Team
Did you know that the Southern Business Mentoring Program mentors are all local business owners themselves? Their insights are born from experience dealing with all aspects of running and growing a business. Whether you’re looking to implement new processes or interested in talking about business practices, the Southern Business Mentoring Program mentors have the skills required to support you.
Small Business Fundamentals
As part of the ongoing commitment to strengthen the local business community, the Southern Business Mentoring Program now has extended benefits through the Small Business Fundamentals Grant, made possible through the backing of South Australia’s Small Business Strategy.
With this funding boost, Southern Adelaide businesses now have access to subsidised one-on-one mentor sessions. Businesses eager to benefit from the extended Southern Business Mentoring Program can access subsidised appointments following their initial free appointment by making a booking through the 1:1 mentoring page.
The Southern Business Mentoring Program Extension Service is an initiative of the Government of South Australia’s Office for Small and Family Business and the South Australian Small Business Strategy 2023 – 2030.
